Boppy Slipcover

I actually pulled out my sewing machine yesterday, started AND finished this little project all in ONE sitting! Aren't you proud?! I'm a sad little sewer, but it's a goal of mine to get better, so this is great for beginners like me :) Here is the link for the free pattern I used. Just print, cut, and tape it together...then you can use it. It's a little tedious for a pattern but hey, it's FREE!

All you need is 1 yard of fabric, a 24 in zipper, thread and a machine :) Easy-peasy!

Every mother needs a Boppy, heck if you don't have one, make your own version with this pattern (skip the zipper and stuff it!) so I made this for a girlfriend who is expecting any day now! It's great to have a couple of these slipcovers handy with messy little ones. The nursery decor is adorable, it's rock and rock musical instruments/themed, with a blue and brown color scheme so hopefully these brown musical symbols will fit right in. I'll be making more for her little guy, so stay tuned...

*UPDATE*
Just made this one this evening for another friend who I think will have her little girl tonight! I'll be working on baby things here in the next couple days! Fun, fun!!! Cute right?!

  2. I love the fabrics you've used! I've done a couple covers too, but one of them I used hook and loop tape instead of a zipper and that worked well too. Thanks for sharing your project! Rebecca
